2006 New York Code - Ferries.
§ 114. Ferries. A person who: 1. Maintains a ferry for profit or hire upon any of the waters of this state without authority of law; or 2. Having entered into a recognizance to keep or maintain a ferry, violates the condition of such recognizance, Is guilty of a misdemeanor. Where such ferry is upon waters dividing two counties, the offender may be prosecuted in either county.
