2006 New York Code - Power Of Supreme Court Justices In Dutchess County To Appoint Law Stenographers And Typists.



 
    § 165-a. Power of supreme court justices in Dutchess county to appoint
  law  stenographers  and typists.  The justice or justices of the supreme
  court residing in Dutchess county, or a majority of  them,  may  appoint
  and  at  pleasure  remove and prescribe the duties of a confidential law
  stenographer and typist, who shall receive such compensation as  may  be
  fixed  by  the  board  of  supervisors of such county. Such compensation
  shall be a charge against such county and shall be paid by the treasurer
  thereof in monthly installments upon the certificate of any such justice
  or, if all such justices have died or  are  disabled,  of  the  Dutchess
  county judge or Dutchess county surrogate.
