§ 85. General authorization; good faith of state pledged. The commissioner of transportation is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to perform and do such other and further acts not hereby specifically provided as may be necessary to perform the work authorized by this article and to comply with federal aid highway and transportation acts hereinbefore referred to and rules and regulations promulgated thereunder. The provisions of such acts are hereby assented to, the good faith of the state of New York being hereby pledged to make such provision from time to time as may be necessary to provide its share of the cost of such work.
