2006 New York Code - Norwich Urban Renewal Agency



 
    * §  576. Norwich urban renewal agency. An urban renewal agency, to be
  known as the Norwich urban renewal agency, is hereby established for any
  of or all of the purposes specified in articles fifteen and fifteen-a of
  the general municipal law and in accordance with article eighteen of the
  constitution of the state of  New  York.  It  shall  constitute  a  body
  corporate  and  politic,  be  perpetual in duration and consist of three
  members, being the  mayor,  the  chairman  of  the  finance  and  budget
  committee  of  the  common  council, and the acting mayor of the city of
  Norwich. Its chairman shall be the mayor, its  secretary  shall  be  the
  urban  renewal  director  of  such  city  and its treasurer shall be the
  acting mayor. It shall have the  powers  and  duties  now  or  hereafter
  conferred  by  article  fifteen-a  of  the  general  municipal  law upon
  municipal  renewal  agencies.  It  shall  be  organized  in  the  manner
  prescribed  by  and be subject to the provisions of article fifteen-a of
  the general municipal law and the  agency,  its  members,  officers  and
  employees,  and  its  operations and activities shall in all respects be
  governed by the provisions of such article.
