2006 New York Code - Length Of School Year, And Expenditure Of Funds.



 
    § 1704. Length  of school year, and expenditure of funds.  1. No board
  of education or community board in the city school district of the  city
  of  New  York,  except  as otherwise provided by law, shall authorize or
  permit the expenditure of funds under its control at a rate  which  will
  exhaust the amount appropriated prior to the conclusion of the period or
  the completion of the purpose for which such funds were appropriated.
    2.  Except  as  otherwise  provided  by  law, no board of education or
  community board in the city school district of  the  city  of  New  York
  shall  provide  for  a  school year consisting of fewer than one hundred
  eighty days of school.
