    §  5037.  Settlements.  Nothing  in this article shall be construed to
  limit the right of a plaintiff, defendant or defendants and any  insurer
  to  settle  dental,  medical  or  podiatric  malpractice  claims as they
  consider appropriate and in their complete discretion.
