Article 1A - Horse Racing Act
Section 60-1A-29 - Termination of agency life; delayed repeal. (Repealed effective July 1, 2022.)

Universal Citation: NM Stat § 60-1A-29 (2021)

The state racing commission is terminated on July 1, 2021 pursuant to the Sunset Act [12-9-11 to 12-9-21 NMSA 1978]. The commission shall continue to operate according to the provisions of Chapter 60, Article 1A NMSA 1978 until July 1, 2022. Effective July 1, 2022, Chapter 60, Article 1A NMSA 1978 is repealed.

ANNOTATIONS

The 2018 amendment, effective May 16, 2018, extended the termination date of the state racing commission; after the first occurrence of "July 1", deleted "2017" and added "2021", and after each of the next two occurrences of "July 1", deleted "2018" and added "2022".

The 2011 amendment, effective July 1, 2011, extended the sunset date from July 1, 2012 to July 1, 2018.
