Article 6 - District Courts
Section 34-6-11 - Judges; eighth judicial district.
There shall be three district judges in the eighth judicial district.

ANNOTATIONSThe 2020 amendment, effective May 20, 2020, removed office location requirements for district judges in the eighth judicial district, and deleted "At least one of the judges shall maintain the judge's principal office in Colfax or Union county and at least one of the judges shall maintain the judge's principal office in Taos county.".
The 2011 amendment, effective July 1, 2011, increased the number of judges from two to three; required that at least one judge maintain a principal office in Colfax or Union County and that at least one judge maintain a principal office in Taos County; and deleted the former provisions that provided the procedure for the selection of a chief judge by two judges.
The 1996 amendment, effective March 4, 1996, rewrote the section.
