Article 44 - Fraternal Benefit Societies
Section 59A-44-9 - Waiver.

Universal Citation: NM Stat § 59A-44-9 (2019)

The laws of the society may provide that no subordinate body or any of its subordinate officers or members shall have the power or authority to waive any of the provisions of the laws of the society. Such provision shall be binding on the society and every member and beneficiary of a member.

ANNOTATIONS

Repeals and reenactments. — Laws 1989, ch. 388, § 9, repealed 59A-44-9 NMSA 1978, as enacted by Laws 1984, ch. 127, § 794, relating to conversion into mutual life insurance company, and enacted a new section, effective January 1, 1990.
