ANNOTATIONS

Compiler's notes. — These sections, as enacted by Laws 1995, ch. 85, §§ 1 to 17, were deleted by the compiler in 1996. Section 20 of Laws 1995, ch. 85 provided that the act would become effective upon certification by the state canvassing board that a majority of votes cast in the referendum conducted pursuant to former 4-1A-15 NMSA 1978 was for the creation and operation of the new county; that referendum was defeated at the general election held November 5, 1996, by a vote of 2,224 for and 9,055 against.
