59A-23A-2. Purpose.

The purpose of the Long-Term Care Insurance Law [Chapter 59A, Article 23A NMSA 1978] is to promote the public interest in and the availability of long-term care insurance policies, protect applicants for long-term care insurance from unfair or deceptive sales or enrollment practices, establish standards for long-term care insurance, facilitate public understanding and comparison of long-term care insurance policies and facilitate flexibility and innovation in the development of long-term care insurance coverage.
