45-5-301.2. Foreign guardian; proof of authority; bond; powers.

If no local guardian has been appointed or no petition therefor is pending in New Mexico, a foreign guardian may file with the district court in the county in which the incapacitated person resides authenticated copies of his appointment and of any official bond he has given and a statement of his address and telephone number.  Thereafter, he may exercise in New Mexico all powers and shall have the duties of a local guardian and may maintain actions and proceedings in New Mexico subject to any conditions imposed upon nonresident parties generally.
