40-4C-8. Limitation on application.
No insurer, health maintenance organization or non-profit health care plan shall be required to change coverages offered as a result of the minimum standards promulgated pursuant to the Mandatory Medical Support Act [ 40-4C-1 NMSA 1978]. Nothing in the Mandatory Medical Support Act shall be construed as creating any regulatory authority over the business of insurance.
