3-46-44. Other powers.

Notwithstanding any other provision to the contrary, in the event a municipal governing body elects to delegate its housing powers, as conferred by the Municipal Housing Law [ 3-45-1 to 3-45-25 NMSA 1978] to an urban renewal agency created pursuant to Section 3-46-41 NMSA 1978, the urban renewal agency shall be vested with such powers in the same manner as though the powers were conferred on the agency instead of the municipality; such powers will be considered additional powers to those conferred by the Urban Renewal Law [ 3-46-1 to 3-46-45 NMSA 1978].
