17:35A-14. Regulation; exemption from Uniform Securities Law
The Commissioner of Insurance shall have sole and exclusive authority to regulate the issuance and sale of contracts on a variable basis; and such contracts, the companies which issue them and the agents or other persons who sell them shall not be subject to the Uniform Securities Law (1967), approved June 8, 1967 (P.L.1967, c. 93) (C. 49:3-47 et seq.) in the issuance or sale of such contracts.
