Chapter 149-M - SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT
Section 149-M:29 - State Solid Waste Plan and Report.

    149-M:29 State Solid Waste Plan and Report. –
    I. Beginning October 1, 1998, and every 6 years thereafter, the department shall update the state's solid waste plan.
    II. At least every October 1 of every odd-numbered year, the department shall prepare a report on the level of achievement in reaching the 40 percent diversion goal established in RSA 149-M:2 and on proposed strategies for achieving the goal and any proposed changes to the goal. The report shall contain information regarding:
       (a) The generation of solid waste in the state.
       (b) The disposal of solid waste in the state, including figures on how the management compares with the hierarchy of preferred methods.
       (c) Projected state solid waste management and capacity needs.
       (d) State and regional trends in solid waste management.
       (e) Congressional actions and court rulings that affect solid waste decisions.
       (f) On-going efforts by the department and other organizations in the state involved in solid waste issues.
       (g) The department's solid waste programs and their focus.
       (h) [Repealed.]
       (i) A listing of organizations which can provide assistance with solid waste management.
