Section 161:5 - Destruction of Certain Records.

    161:5 Destruction of Certain Records. – The commissioner of the department of health and human services may destroy any reports, records and other documents in the department which in his opinion are no longer of any value to the state provided the records have been retained for a sufficient period of time to comply with federal regulations and provided that payrolls covering payments to recipients of benefits under public welfare programs and medical audits shall be held for a period of 10 years from the date of filing or until such records have been audited.
