[RSA 653:3 effective until implementation of 1995, 108:2 amendment; see also RSA 653:3 set out below.] 653:3 United States Senators. –
    At the state general election in 1980 and at the state general election every sixth year thereafter and at the state general election in 1984 and at the state general election every sixth year thereafter, the voters of the state shall elect one United States senator.
