2006 New Hampshire Statutes - Section 262:44 Waiver in Lieu of Court Appearance.
    Any person charged with a violation of the provisions of Title XXI on vehicles, excluding a violation of RSA 265:79 and any offense for which the penalty is a misdemeanor or felony, may plead guilty or nolo contendere by mail by entering said plea as provided in RSA 502-A:19-b. If said plea is accepted by the court, the defendant shall not be required to appear personally or by counsel; otherwise he shall appear as directed by the court.
