Chapter 432A - Services and Facilities for Care of Children
NRS 432A.450 - Duties of field administrator: Interviews required before participation in program; assessment and evaluation of client; duties of treatment team.

Universal Citation: NV Rev Stat § 432A.450 (2019)

1. A field administrator shall not allow a client to participate in an outdoor youth program unless a treatment team has:

(a) Conducted an interview of the client;

(b) Conducted an interview of the client’s parent or guardian to obtain the client’s social and psychological history;

(c) Reviewed the record of the physical examination of the client and the written history of the client’s health;

(d) Assessed and prepared an evaluation of the client’s:

(1) Family history;

(2) Medical, social and psychological condition; and

(3) Level of education and development; and

(e) Based upon the information obtained and assessed pursuant to paragraphs (a) to (d), inclusive, prescribed a plan for the continuing evaluation and treatment of the client during the client’s participation in the program. The plan must provide specific goals and objectives for the observable modification of the client’s attitudes and behavior.

2. A field administrator shall ensure that the treatment team:

(a) Is readily accessible to each client; and

(b) Meets with each client, for at least 1 hour during each week that the client is participating in the program,

to carry out the plan of continuing evaluation and treatment prepared pursuant to subsection 1.

3. For the purposes of this section, “treatment team” means a group consisting of:

(a) A physician; and

(b) A psychologist or social worker,

who are licensed to practice in this state.
