Chapter 487 - Repair, Removal and Disposal of Vehicles
NRS 487.050 - Unlawful to dismantle, scrap, process or wreck vehicle without license; application for license. [Effective on the date of the repeal of 42 U.S.C. § 666, the federal law requiring each state to establish procedures for withholding, suspending and restricting the professional, occupational and recreational licenses for child support arrearages and for noncompliance with certain processes relating to paternity or child support proceedings.]

Universal Citation: NV Rev Stat § 487.050 (2017)

1. It is unlawful for any person to dismantle, scrap, process or wreck any vehicle without first applying for and obtaining a license for that operation from the Department.

2. An application for a license must be made on a form provided by the Department and accompanied by such proof as the Department may require that the applicant:

(a) Is a bona fide automobile wrecker; and

(b) Owns or leases a place of business which meets the requirements of NRS 487.073.
