Chapter 209 - Department of Corrections
NRS 209.448 - Credits for completion of program of treatment for abuse of alcohol or drugs.

Universal Citation: NV Rev Stat § 209.448 (2017)

1. An offender who has no serious infraction of the regulations of the Department or the laws of the State recorded against the offender must be allowed, in addition to the credits provided pursuant to NRS 209.433, 209.443, 209.446 or 209.4465, a deduction of not more than 60 days from the maximum term or the maximum aggregate term of the offender’s sentence, as applicable, for the successful completion of a program of treatment for the abuse of alcohol or drugs which is conducted jointly by the Department and a person who is licensed as a clinical alcohol and drug abuse counselor, licensed or certified as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor or certified as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor intern or a clinical alcohol and drug abuse counselor intern, pursuant to chapter 641C of NRS.

2. The provisions of this section apply to any offender who is sentenced on or after October 1, 1991.
