Chapter 130 - Interjurisdictional Enforcement of Support
NRS 130.603 - Effect of registration for enforcement. [Effective until the date that the provisions of The Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance is ratified by the President and the United States deposits its instrument of ratification.]


NV Rev Stat § 130.603 (2013) What's This?

1. A support order or income-withholding order issued in another state is registered when the order is filed in the registering tribunal of this State.

2. A registered order issued in another state is enforceable in the same manner and is subject to the same procedures as an order issued by a tribunal of this State.

3. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 130.601 to 130.614, inclusive, a tribunal of this State shall recognize and enforce, but may not modify, a registered order if the issuing tribunal had jurisdiction.

1. A support order or income-withholding order issued in another state or a foreign support order is registered when the order is filed in the registering tribunal of this State.

2. A registered support order issued in another state or a foreign country is enforceable in the same manner and is subject to the same procedures as an order issued by a tribunal of this State.

3. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 130.601 to 130.713, inclusive, a tribunal of this State shall recognize and enforce, but may not modify, a registered support order if the issuing tribunal had jurisdiction.
