NV Rev Stat § 527.240 (2011) What's This?

It is hereby declared to be the policy of the State of Nevada to protect the tree known as the single-leaf pinon (Pinus monophylla), which is the official state tree of the State of Nevada, which has from time immemorial been a staple food of the Indians of Nevada, and which may be threatened with extinction in the State if mechanical harvesting of its seed, the pine nut, is permitted.
