74-1403. Acquisition project, defined.

Acquisition project means a project to acquire, by purchase, lease, or other appropriate method, a line of railroad or other rail properties or an interest in a line of railroad or other rail properties for existing or future rail freight service or to maintain existing transportation corridors for future rail or other transportation uses.
