Section 71-5192
Certificate or license issued prior to July 1, 1998; how treated.

An out-of-hospital emergency care provider or emergency medical service holding a valid certificate or license issued by the department prior to July 1, 1998, may perform any practice or procedure authorized for a holder of that type of certificate or license in accordance with rules and regulations in effect immediately prior to July 1, 1998, and until the rules and regulations are amended or repealed pursuant to the Emergency Medical Services Act. A certificate or license may be issued or renewed and will expire in accordance with the rules and regulations adopted pursuant to the Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Act, the First Responders Emergency Rescue Act, and sections 71-5101 to 71-5165 until those rules and regulations are amended or repealed pursuant to the Emergency Medical Services Act.
