Section 71-1723.01
Nurse practitioner; right to use title or abbreviation.

A person licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse in this state on July 1, 2007, shall be issued a license by the department as an advanced practice registered nurse under the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Licensure Act and shall be issued a certificate by the department as a nurse practitioner under the Nurse Practitioner Act on such date. A person certified as a nurse practitioner in this state may use the title nurse practitioner and the abbreviation NP.
