Section 71-3,167
Department; power to investigate.

The department may initiate an investigation when it receives a complaint regarding a possible violation or when the board or the department, on the basis of its own knowledge, deems such an investigation necessary. The purpose of the investigation shall be to ascertain facts and evidence for presentation to the board relating to the possible violation. Investigations shall be conducted only by employees or agents of the department specifically authorized to conduct investigations.
