• Effective - 28 Aug 198965.657. Ballot, form — majority vote required. — 1. Before the township board of any such township shall adopt any plan or create any commission provided for in sections 65.650 to 65.700, it shall order the question as to whether or not the township board shall adopt township planning or zoning submitted to the voters of the township.
2. The question shall be submitted in substantially the following form:
Shall township zoning (or planning) be adopted? | |
☐ YES | ☐ NO |
3. If a majority of the votes cast on the question be in favor of the adoption of zoning or planning, the township board may then proceed as provided in sections 65.650 to 65.700.
