Section 521.380 Proceedings upon constructive service--judgment not to exceed amount sworn to.
521.380. When the defendant shall be notified by publication, as directed, and shall not appear and answer the action, judgment by default may be entered, which may be proceeded on to final judgment in like manner as in ordinary actions; but in no case shall judgment be rendered against the defendant for a greater amount than that sworn to by the plaintiff at the time of obtaining the attachment, with interest, damages and costs.
