Municipalities and counties to pay replacement costs of driver's license, when.

302.187. Any municipality or county that, after having taken the motor vehicle driver's license of a person, loses such license shall replace such license and pay all costs of replacement. For purposes of this section, such license shall be deemed lost if, after thirty days from the date of taking such license, such municipality or county has no legal reason for retaining such license and cannot locate such license.
