Time for complete settlement or filing of statement of account--extension.
473.843. Unless the time is extended by the court, an independent personal representative shall petition for an order of complete settlement under section 473.837, or file a statement of account under section 473.840, within one year after the original appointment of an independent personal representative of the estate. If he fails to do so, the court shall, upon application of any person interested in the estate, or upon its own motion, order the personal representative to close the estate or apply for an extension of time in which to do so.
