2005 Missouri Revised Statutes - § 542.110. — Appeal granted, when.

542.110. Any person convicted under the provisions of sections 542.020 to 542.140 may take an appeal from the judgment of the associate circuit judge to the court having jurisdiction of the appeal, if he shall, on the day of the rendition of the verdict, file an affidavit, stating that he verily believes himself aggrieved by the verdict and judgment, and shall also enter into a recognizance, to be approved by the associate circuit judge, in a sum not to exceed one thousand dollars, with sufficient sureties, conditioned that he will, during the pendency of the appeal, keep the peace toward the people of this state, and particularly toward the complainant, and that he will appear to answer the charges against him at the next term of court having jurisdiction thereof.
