2005 Missouri Revised Statutes - § 305.040. — Liability of aircraft owner determined by tort law.

305.040. The liability of the owner of one aircraft, to the owner of another aircraft, or to aeronauts or passengers on either aircraft, for damage caused by collision on land or in the air shall be determined by the rules of law applicable to torts on land.

(1959) The usual rules applicable to torts apply to aviation accidents, and there is no mandatory requirement that the standard of care be established by expert testimony. Arrow Aviation Inc. v. Moore, 266 F.2d 488.
