Chapter 110A — Rural Water User Districts
Section 110A.13 — Publishing Petition.
Subdivision 1. Publication requirements. The petition and a map of the proposed district shall be published in each county in which lands within the proposed district lie, in a newspaper of general circulation published in the county, once each week for at least two successive weeks before the time the petition is filed with the court together with a list of names of the petitioners within the county and their addresses.
Subd. 2. Notice; certain cities and districts. Prior to being filed with the court, the petition and a map of the proposed district shall be sent by certified mail to each city with a population of 20,000 or less if the proposed district comes within one-half mile of the city's boundary, each city with a population of greater than 20,000 if the proposed district comes within one mile of the city's boundary and to each existing district organized under chapter 116A or Laws 1978, chapter 744, if the new district boundary comes within one mile of an existing system's boundary.
