542.07 ACTIONS BY OR FOR THE STATE. Except as otherwise provided by law in particular cases, civil actions for trespass in which the state of Minnesota is plaintiff, may be begun and tried in such county as the attorney general, or other attorney authorized to bring the same, shall select.
