440.11 STREET NAME CHANGE; ORDINANCE. The council of each home rule charter city of the second, third, or fourth class may by ordinance change the name of and rename any of the streets, lanes, avenues, public highways, parks, and public grounds of the city. Immediately after publication, the ordinance shall be recorded in the office of the county recorder of the county in which the city is located.
