     97C.405 Muskellunge size limits. 


    (a) Except as allowed under paragraph (b), if a person 
 catches a muskellunge less than 40 inches long, the person must 
 immediately release the fish into the waters.  


    (b) The commissioner may designate lakes north of Trunk 
 Highway No. 210 where muskellunge less than 40 inches, but not 
 less than 30 inches long, may be retained.
