     525.07 Acting as counsel prohibited.  


    No judge, referee, registrar, court administrator, deputy 
 court administrator, or employee of any court, or the law 
 partner of any of them, shall be counsel or attorney in any 
 action or proceedings for or against any devisee, legatee, heir, 
 creditor, representative, or ward over whom, or whose estate, 
 claim, or accounts such court has jurisdiction.  Except in 
 matters relating to commitments, none of them shall give counsel 
 or advice, or draw or prepare any paper relating to any matter 
 which is or may be brought before such court, except orders, 
 judgments, decrees, executions, warrants, certificates, or 
 subpoenas issuing out of such court.  No judge, referee, 
 registrar, or court administrator shall keep or hold official 
 office with any practicing attorney.
