488A.286 Initial judges of the court.
The judges of the municipal courts in the cities of New Brighton, Roseville, Maplewood, North Saint Paul, White Bear Lake and Saint Paul as of January 1, 1975, shall continue as judges of the municipal court of the county of Ramsey. In the event a vacancy exists in the office of judge in any such municipalities or that any such judges are unable or unwilling on said date to serve as a judge of the Municipal Court of Ramsey County, the governor shall appoint, in the manner provided by law, a qualified person to fill such vacancy or replace such judges. The original term of office of each of such judges as a judge of the municipal court of the county of Ramsey shall expire on the day before the first Monday in January of the odd-numbered year following the year in which the term of each of such judges of municipal courts of the aforementioned municipalities would otherwise have expired.
