     473.241 Data collection.  


    The Metropolitan Council in cooperation with other 
 departments and agencies of the state and the regents of the 
 University of Minnesota may develop a center for data collection 
 and storage to be used by it and other governmental users and 
 may accept gifts as otherwise authorized in this section for the 
 purposes of furnishing information on such subjects as 
 population, land use, governmental finances, and the like.
