382.27 Reimbursement of peace officers.
When any sheriff, deputy sheriff, constable, or other peace officer of this state shall hereafter receive physical injury while in the discharge of an official duty as such peace officer the county board of the county wherein such officer resides may audit and allow bills for physicians' services, nurse, and hospital expenses rendered necessary because of such injury and may appropriate money out of the revenue fund of the county for payment thereof.
