     299D.04 Nationwide police communication system. 


    The commissioner of public safety may enter into the 
 necessary agreements and purchase the necessary equipment for 
 participation in a nationwide police communication system.  All 
 costs of participation in such system by the State Patrol 
 chargeable to the state of Minnesota shall be paid from the fund 
 in the state treasury credited with fines and forfeited bail 
 money.
