     209.045 Venue for statewide contests. 


    If a notice of contest is filed in the District Court of 
 Ramsey County regarding a statewide office or constitutional 
 amendment or other question voted on statewide, the court 
 administrator of district court, within three days of receipt of 
 the notice of contest, shall submit one copy of it and of the 
 answer, if any, to the chief justice of the Supreme Court by 
 certified mail.  The case must be heard and determined in Ramsey 
 County by three judges assigned by the chief justice of the 
 Supreme Court.  If there is a division of opinion, the majority 
 opinion prevails.
