     179.03 Political activities forbidden.  


    Any mediator, under the provisions of sections 179.01 to 
 179.17, who exerts personal influence, directly or indirectly, 
 to induce any other person to adopt the mediator's political 
 views, or to favor any particular candidate for office, or to 
 contribute funds for political purposes shall forthwith be 
 removed from office or position by the appointing authority; 
 provided, that before removal the commissioner of mediation 
 services shall be entitled to a hearing before the governor, and 
 any other employee shall be entitled to a similar hearing before 
 the commissioner of mediation services.
