Act 302 of 1945 - Emergency Powers of Governor (10.31 - 10.33)

AN ACT authorizing the governor to proclaim a state of emergency, and to prescribe the powers and duties of the governor with respect thereto; and to prescribe penalties.

Compiler's Notes: Public Act 77 of 2021 was proposed by initiative petition pursuant to Const 1963, art 2, § 9. On July 15, 2021, the initiative petition was approved by an affirmative vote of the majority of the Senators elect of the Senate and filed with the Secretary of State. On July 21, 2021, the initiative petition was approved by an affirmative vote of the majority of the Members elect of the House of Representatives, and filed with the Secretary of State on July 15, 2021. The Legislature did not vote pursuant to Const 1963, art 4, § 27, to give immediate effect to this enactment.
