CHILD CARE ORGANIZATIONS (EXCERPT)
Act 116 of 1973


722.124 Persons authorized to place child.

Sec. 14.

Only a parent, guardian of the person of a child, a person related to a child by blood, marriage, or adoption, a licensed child placing agency, or a governmental unit may place a child in the control and care of a person. This section shall not be construed to prevent foster parents from placing foster children in temporary care pursuant to rules promulgated by the department.
