Act 236 of 1961 600.8825 Acceptance of fee by law enforcement officer prohibited. Sec. 8825. (1) A law enforcement officer issuing a citation under this chapter for a state civil infraction shall not accept a fee for issuing the citation. (2) A law enforcement officer who violates this section is guilty of misconduct in office and subject to removal from office.
