500.3549 Disciplinary action; notice to board.

Sec. 3549.

A health maintenance organization shall notify the appropriate board as to any disciplinary action taken by the health maintenance organization for any of the grounds under section 16221 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.16221, that results in a change of employment status or limitations on scope of participation of a health professional under contract to or directly employed by the health maintenance organization, including an offer by the health maintenance organization to permit the health professional to resign instead of the health maintenance organization taking disciplinary action against the health professional. The notice shall contain a summary of the information pertinent to the change and shall be transmitted in writing to the appropriate board within 30 days after the change occurs. As used in this section, "board" means a licensing board created under article 15 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.16101 to 333.18838.
