FORBES MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS ACT
Act 192 of 1984
AN ACT to regulate the use, installation, alteration, and servicing of specified heating, cooling, ventilating, and refrigerating equipment and systems; to create a board of mechanical rules; to provide for the licensing of installing contractors and of servicing contractors of heating, cooling, ventilating, and refrigerating equipment and systems; to prescribe fees; to provide for the promulgation of rules; and to prescribe penalties.

Section 338.979	Local licensing requirements prohibited.
Section 338.980	Contractor's license; examination fee; initial and per-year fee for issuance; expiration and renewal; reinstatement; receipt of completed application; issuance of license within certain time period; disposition of fees, money, and other income; report; "completed application" defined.
Section 338.981	Investigation; hearings; oaths; testimony; report of findings; grounds for proceeding under § 338.986; suspension or revocation of license; violation of §§ 338.3101 to 338.3319 or §§ 408.1057 to 408.1060f; notice; review; hearing required for imposition of sanctions; effect of suspended, revoked, or expired license; license required for securing permits.
